Not everyone forgets me

Checked my emails and saw this forwarded to me:

“Had a great experience with Angela of the Membership Office just now. She was so pleasant and personable and gave me great advice regarding the new membership scheme. It was great to speak to someone so nice and efficient.”

I remember this person well and I didn’t think much of the conversation at the time, believing that it would be just another member who forgot about me after hanging up. I’m glad they didn’t because they just made my day just a little bit brighter! (:

Life Changing

What was the one experience that completely changed your life? What happened? How did it change your life?

Honestly, I think MAIC2013 was the experience that changed my life up to this point. It made me realize that I’ve had it easy and that I need to stop being childish and that I need to grow up and become less of a spoiled child. I always thought that I had it bad and though I don’t like comparing my situation to others, I couldn’t help but do so this weekend. I learned that complaining won’t get me where I need to be and that I need to suck it up, make a plan and get it done.

I also learned that though my intentions in the beginning weren’t absolutely selfish, I did focus on myself and now more than ever, I’d like to be able to help out my family with their problems.

I’ve already posted something similar to this but I wanted to say it again. This trip was amazing and I learned so much from it. I don’t regret it at all and I’m so grateful to everyone who pushed me to go and also those who shared their stories and everything that happened. Because of this weekend I’ve vowed to become a better person and to make a difference in at least one person’s life. If at least one person comes to me and tells me that I changed their life then I know I’m doing the right thing.

And though it’ll be a long process, I know for a fact that it will happen and I’d be honoured to have you along for the journey.
